Our Bamboo Steamers come from a mountain village in Ningde City, Fujian Province; the people in the village have been making bamboo steamers for thousands of years from generation to generation. Because there are many processes in making bamboo steamers, each family completes several processes, and finish the whole production process together by several families. Their technology has been kept secret and handed down from generation to generation. There used to be many outsiders came to study, but no one could take away the complete set of technology. Therefore, compared with steamers in Guangdong, Sichuan and other places, our steamers have many advantages that they cannot compare.

1. Good air tightness: (this is the most important characteristic of steamers): Steamed food in steamer is steamed from top to bottom by the heat of vapors. If the air tightness is not good, the vapors will run away, resulting in a longer steaming time of food, and the taste of delicious food itself will run away!

2. Good durability: The steamer are expanded the bamboo (wood) in the steamer by vapors, the tightness of the binding at each seal is very important. If it is too loose, the tightness would not be so good, if it is too tight, it would be easy to damage.

3. Accurate size: As steamers are handmade, the size of each steamer will inevitably have some differences. Our steamers are manufactured by mould, so our steamers’ differences of the same specification can be controlled within a certain range. The steamer lids and layers are interchangeable with the same specification ones. In this case, our customers can order all lids or all layers separately and combine them randomly when use. (Many steamers from other production areas cannot reach this point).

4. Wide range of specifications: We can achieve Dia: 3-4M for big ones and Dia: 10CM for small ones.
